Pastor Greg DeBoer
Originally a native of Brandon, WI, my family and I moved to Independence in the summer of 2013. Prior to serving Immanuel, I served at Christ Lutheran in Pickrell, NE. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh and my Master of Divinity degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg. I have lived in 5 different states and one (supposedly) haunted house.
My wife, Gina, and I were married in 1996 and have four children - Evan is studying theology at Grand View University; Rachel is also at Grand View studying biology on the Pre-Med track; Ryan is a freshman and excited about being in the drumline of the Independence Marching Mustangs; and Levi is a sixth-grader who would rather spend his time outside than in front of an electronic device. We also had the privilege of hosting Yuka Sakaguchi, an exchange student from Japan, for the 17-18 school year.
I enjoy reading, working in the yard, spending time with my family, and all things Badgers, Brewers, and Packers.
